What Is an Emergency Nurse Practitioner?
An ENP (Emergency Nurse Practitioner) is an advanced-level registered nurse who specialises in the autonomous assessment and management of minor injuries and minor illness presentations — typically in urgent care, MIU, or walk-in settings.
ENPs are trained to assess, diagnose, treat, and discharge patients independently, often working across evenings, weekends and bank holidays in both NHS and private urgent care environments.
